Our custodial staff has done an amazing job at all of our schools to help get buildings ready for the first day of school
I want to recognize the leadership of District Lead Nurse Ann Body. She works closely with our Medical Task Force, and they met this past week to discuss our return to school plans. A senior member of the St. Louis County Health Department also recently spoke to our school nurses.
I want to thank our Board for its support as we incorporated educational support counselors to work with our students, social-emotional behavior team, and our counseling department.
I want to highlight how incredibly grateful we are that three of our Prop L projects are underway, along with plenty of behind-the-scenes work being done at Conway and Reed. SM Wilson is doing great work and has done an excellent job of communicating with us.
ACTION ITEMS
Dr. Wipke and Cabinet members discussed, and the Board approved, updates and revisions to the following policies: BCB, FF, IGCD, IGCDA, DK, and EBAB.
The district’s construction manager SM Wilson provided an update on the status of all Prop L construction projects. The Board also approved the July 2021 monthly payment application related to the projects.

High School Class Name Change (MOVED TO ACTION)
Assistant Superintendent Dr. Amy Zielinski introduced, and the Board approved, a request from LHWHS to rename the second semester LEADS course to LEADS/Personal Finance.
DEI Coordinator Dr. Jennifer Riesenmy provided information on the district’s Panorama partnership.
UPCOMING MEETINGS
The next Board of Education meeting will be a regular Business Meeting on Monday, September 13, 2021. The meeting will be live-streamed using Zoom and the Meeting ID will be posted on the Featured tab of BoardDocs when the meeting information is officially posted.
