Board President Remarks

  • Congratulations to Dr. Wipke for his Superintendent to Watch Award from NSPRA; we appreciate his communications with us and the community

Superintendent Remarks

  • LHWHS was ranked 3rd in a recent article about top high schools in Missouri

  • I want to take a moment to remember the events of September 11, 2001, an anniversary our nation marked on Friday. It’s a moment in history that needs to be recognized, along with how our first responders served as heroes who saved many lives. Many of our teachers put together classroom activities that helped remember the event.

  • Learning Centers opened this past week and I want to thank all of our educators who have been involved in that.

  • I will attend a conference on Unraveling Implicit Bias this week and I look forward to the experience.

  • Our high school grounds sustained some recent damage from flooding but we are well on our way to getting repairs in place.

  • We are looking to send out a survey concerning the possibility of putting a bond issue on the April ballot. We have some great potential renovation plans in place for five of our schools and want to hear from the community about those.
